P7000HD Printronix line matrix technology continues to deliver the lowest cost per page, highest reliability and greatest forms flexibility of any printer. For many users, a step forward in system application meant a step backward in terms of printer. To work with their new software, a user often needed to convert to laser printing. This conversion elevated dramatically their consumable costs, typically by a factor of 10. More importantly, conversion to laser printing often meant thrusting a light-duty laser printer into a harsh environment or heavy duty cycle mission-critical print application better served by a line matrix printer. To solve this dilemma, Printronix created the P7000HD.
The P7000HD line matrix printer is dedicated to printing in a Windows environment. It employs 180x180 dotsper-inch (DPI) graphics and fine, 11mil/ 0.28mm hammer tips. This resolution allows the printer to correctly render intricate TrueType™ fonts, characters down to a tiny six-point size, lines, logos, PDFs, bar codes and limited gray scaling. With Microsoft-certified drivers, it is ready to drop directly in place of virtually any Windows-driven laser printer. With the P7000HD, users who migrate to a new system environment no longer need to forgo the advantages of line matrix printing.
